Programs for Parents

DOE Wrap Program (formerly Abbott Wrap-Around)
This Program providers funding for wrap around care for children in the DOE Wrap Program. If eligible, child care for the 2 hours before and the 2 hours after the formal preschool education day and full day during summer is fully funded.

A 3 or 4 year old child living in a DOE Wrap school district must register at the board of education in their school district then register at a DOE Wrap center.

NJCK/New Jersey Care for Kids
Families who are employed at least 30 hours per week, are enrolled in full-time training at least 20 hours per week, are enrolled in college full-time 12 credits per semester, and/or are full-time high school students are eligible for this programs. Families must meet certain income eligibility requirements. Provided a family meets the income and requirements criteria, an infant or child may be able to receive subsidy up to the age of 13 years.

WFNJ/TANF
WFNJ/TANF is a subsidized child care voucher program for people who are receiving or have received TANF benefits with in the past two years. Applicants receive funding assistance for childcare while they work or are place in a training program. This childcare program supports applicants by increasing the availability, affordability and quality of childcare.

Types of Child Care
Family Child Care Homes –provides care for 5 or fewer children per shift in the registered family child care providers’ home.
Child Care Centers - provides care for children in a facility other than a home, caring for 6 or more children, less than 13 years of age.
School Age Child Care (SACC) –
provides care for school-age children in a variety of settings.
Summer Camps – offer full and/or part-time care during the summer offering a variety of age appropriate activities children.
