Programs for Providers
FCC/Family Child Care
- Family child care homes (also known as family day care homes) provide care for five or fewer children below 13 years of age in the provider's private residence. Family child care providers may choose to become voluntarily registered through Quality Care Resource & Referral Services Inc. Referrals are only made to provider who are registered with the state of New Jersey. Accreditation
- Accreditation is beneficial to a child care program. It is a way of measuring a program and its performance. Family Child Care Providers (FCC), License Child Care Centers, and School-Age Child Care programs (SACC) can become accredited but must meet certain standards. Programs that are accredited offer parents/families high-quality child care while providing children with the age appropriate activities and experiences that will help with their growth and development, also preparing them for school. Professional Development Trainings and Workshops
- Professional Development Trainings/workshops are provided and geared to enhancing quality child care while keeping the child care community informed and up-to-date on health and safety issues involving children. All trainings and workshops are open to licensed childcare centers, registered family child care providers, school-age childcare programs and parent of children in any of these settings.
- Unless noted otherwise, all classes are held at the Quality Care Resource and Referral Services INC, in the Cumberland and Salem County offices.
